Hunting terriers

Breed history

The Cairn Terrier belongs to the group of Scottish terriers like the Scottie, Skye, and West Highland White terriers. These terriers originated from the Scottish hunting terrier. Cairns have changed the least from their original shape, and their temperaments have remained stable throughout the years.Cairns were once used for hunting small animals like otter, rats, and mice. Our Cairns are still hunting and they keep our country house free of vermin.
